¡Viva viernes!      (Long live Friday! In other words, TGIF!)

La fecha es el treinta (30) de diciembre del año dos mil veintidós. (The date is December 30, 2022.)

Equatorial Guinea’s beautiful and powerful-voiced Nélida Karr composed Sueña (Dream). This week we are listening to a version sung by one of her music school pupils, Reha.

This nostalgic song reflects on the dreams of a young girl who has now grown into a woman that reached those dreams. “Yo solo recuerdo lo que ya he vivido, lo que he conseguido” (I only remember what I have already lived, what I have obtained). “Todavía me acuerdo de todos mis sueños” (I still remember all of my dreams). “Me he convertido en una gran mujer” (I have become a great woman). “Sueña, sueña, sueña…” (Dream, dream, dream).
