¡Viva viernes!     (Long live Friday! In other words, TGIF!)

La fecha es el tres (3) de febrero del año dos mil veintitrés. (The date is February 3, 2023.)

This week, let’s relax and let our minds escape as we listen to Una Ciudad (A City) by la banda paraguayo (the Paraguayan band) El Culto Casero.

Let’s look closer at some of the highlights of the song:

“Me enamoré de una casa hoy entre cementos que eclipsan al sol bajo las estrellas que apaga un farol” (Today, I fell in love with a house among cement that eclipses the sun under the stars that a lantern turns out). 

“Dice en muchas partes prohibido pisar” (In many places it says it’s forbidden to walk). 

“Igual voy a pisar” (Still I’m going to walk).
