¡Viva viernes!     (Long live Friday! In other words, TGIF!)

One of the most dreadful feelings comes from anticipating saying goodbye to someone you love. This feeling is expressed in Porque te vas (Because you’re leaving). I love the new version of this song which was “renovated” by a trio of Paraguayan artists—Audioiko, Redemm, and Arely Vega.

Porque te vas highlights the fears that we face as we contemplate goodbyes. “El corazón se pone triste”—the heart gets sad. We may think, “Me olvidarás” (You will forget me). “Junto a la estación hoy lloraré igual que un niño” describes crying like a child at the train station.
