¡Viva viernes!       (Long live Friday! In other words, TGIF!)

La fecha es el diecisiete (17) de junio del año dos mil veintidós. (The date is June 17, 2022.)

This week we are listening to a song that is symbolic of Ecuador, Pueblo Nuevo’s A Mi Lindo Ecuador (To My Beautiful Ecuador).

The song opens, “Con amor, hoy yo quiero cantar… a mi lindo Ecuador” (With love, today I want to sing to my beautiful Ecuador). The song also highlights the inmenso cielo azul (immense blue sky) and the desire that Ecuadorians will have to regresar (to return).
