Cuban singer La Lupe’s classic Puro Teatro (Pure Acting) is a song that highlights seeing through a person’s fake actions.
The song opens, “Igual que en un escenario, finges tu dolor barato” (Just like on a stage, you fake your cheap pain) and continues, “Tu drama no es necesario, ya conozco ese teatro” (Your drama is not necessary, I’m already familiar with that acting). A few more theater terms that are used in the song are estudiado simulacro (studied drill), falsedad bien ensayada (well-rehearsed deceit), and el telón cayó (the curtain dropped).
