La fecha es el veintiséis (26) de marzo del año dos mil veinticuatro. (The date is March 26, 2024.)

El dicho de la semana es:

Cuando el río suena, es porque piedras lleva.

(The saying of the week is:     When the river sounds, it’s because it carries stones.)

This Salvadoran refrain brings to mind people who like to sit around and gossip. It means that rumors have some valid foundation. I personally disagree with this theory. What are your thoughts?
