¡Viva viernes!     (Long live Friday! In other words, TGIF!)

This week I would like to share one of my all-time favorite Latin songs—Volveré (I Will Return) by the Dominican trumpeter and merengue legend, Wilfrido Vargas. His powerful voice will help transport you out of this world as you lose yourself on the dance floor.

Volveré tells the story of a sailor who finds love at a port city. The key lines of the song are, “Volveré, volveré (I will return, I will return) porque te quiero (because I love you) hasta tu puerto volveré (I will return to your port), volveré, volveré, (I will return, I will return) serás mi estrella (you will be my star) si tu me esperas, (if you wait for me) volveré (I will return).”
