“En un lugar, todo el verde está de fiesta” (In a place, all the green is celebrating).

“Y en alta mar, no muy lejos de Corn Islands y el Bluff, un hombre niño pesca un saco en el mar” (And at sea, not very far from the Corn Islands and Bluff, a man child fishes a jacket in the sea).

“En un lugar, quema el cielo las estrellas” (In a place, the sky burns the stars).

“En un lugar que me vio jugar de niño” (In a place that saw me play as a child),

“Tuve amistad, un amigo que no jugará más” (I had a friendship, a friend who will play no more).

“Pero la calle hoy se llama como él” (But the street is named like him today).

“En un lugar, llueve tanto que se apaga el Sol” (In a place, it rains so much that the Sun goes out).

“Y el lodazal besa siempre tus rodillas” (And the mud always kisses your knees).

“Un viejo está aprendiendo sus primeras letras” (An old man is learning his first letters).

“No tiene anteojos pero sabrá leer” (He doesn’t have glasses but he must know how to read).

“En un lugar, donde el lago alza volcanes y el tiburón hizo nido en agua dulce, el huracán pone un bosque en reverencia mortal” (In a place where the lake raises volcanoes and the shark made a nest in sweet water, the hurricane puts a forest in mortal reverence).

“Tiembla la Tierra, tiembla el mar de este lugar” (The Earth shakes, the sea shakes from this place).

“Dale una luz a la gente que ha buscado su libertad contra el cielo y contra humanos” (Give light to the people that have searched for freedom against the sky and against humans).

“Dale una luz a este pueblo que ama tanto vivir en Nicaragua” (Give light to this people that loves so much to live in Nicaragua).

¡Cantemos! (Let’s sing!) Sing along to la letra (the lyrics).

¡Que tengas un viernes visualizado!     (May you have a visualized Friday!)
