El dicho de la semana es:

El viajero se conoce por la maleta.

(The saying of the week is:     The traveler is known by the suitcase.)

This Dominican saying moves us to reflect on the image that we portray in front of others. One angle of seeing this proverb is that people judge based on appearances. The type of suitcase that a person carries and its contents can tell you about the owner. If you think of the suitcase as a representation of appearance, behavior, how we treat others, and values, what would you like others to think of when they see your “suitcase”?
