¡Hoy es martes meditativo!     (Today is meditative Tuesday!)

La fecha es el diez (10) de enero del año dos mil veintitrés. (The date is January 10, 2023.)

El dicho de la semana es:  

Del plato a la boca, se puede caer la sopa.

(The saying of the week is:     From the plate to the mouth, the soup can fall.)

This Mexican proverb describes how something that seems so sure, like the soup in the spoon that only has a short journey to the mouth, can get thrown off course before reaching its destination. Things can always go wrong at the last minute.

Practice saying this proverb whenever you make assumptions about something you feel is certain to happen.
